Alastair and Jacqueline's Wedding – Danesfield House

Alastair and Jacqueline wanted their wedding evening at Danesfield House to give guests something to do together rather than just watch — a full evening of racing that would work for family and friends of all ages in the hotel's grand hall.

The full Signature Track was installed in the grand hall at Danesfield House, Hotel & Spa, running live digital lap timing with the leaderboard displayed on screen throughout the evening. The circuit was dressed in full with pit building, grandstands and trackside scenery to suit the scale of the room.

Racing ran from 6.30pm through to 10.30pm in the grand hall, with guests racing in rotation as the evening went on. There was no set format — anyone could take a car out for a run, and the fastest-lap competition ran the whole night with the running order shown live. 1,340 laps were completed across the four hours, with the top ten separated by just over three tenths of a second.
