India and Owen's Wedding – Witney

India and Owen wanted something genuinely different for their wedding in Witney, Oxfordshire — an interactive activity that would keep guests entertained during the afternoon reception and again in the evening, rather than the usual photo booth or magician. They also wanted the track to feel personal to their day, not just a standard hire setup.

The full digital Scalextric track was built around India and Owen's own wedding invitation design. The grandstand fascia boards were custom-printed with 'Owen & India' in their invitation typeface, carried across the pink, blue and purple colour palette and geometric patterns, and finished with a bride-and-groom silhouette and floral detailing. A Red Bull branded arch spanned the circuit, photo signs of the couple were placed trackside, and the scenery was built out in a desert theme with sandy terrain, scrub and trackside detailing. A live leaderboard displayed fastest laps throughout both sessions.

Racing ran in two sessions to fit around the wedding day — 1.30pm to 4pm during the afternoon reception, and again from 7pm to 8.30pm in the evening. Guests could jump in and out across both sessions, with the live leaderboard keeping the fastest-lap competition running all day. 1,060 laps were completed across the two sessions, and the custom 'Owen & India' branding — matched to their wedding invitations — made the circuit feel like part of the wedding itself.
