If you're anything like me, you probably spend far too much time browsing for your next Scalextric purchase.
Whether you're hunting down the latest release, expanding your Formula One grid or simply looking for a bargain, there are some excellent deals around at the moment if you know where to look.
I've rounded up a few of my favourite retailers, along with some of the best-value Scalextric cars currently available. Happy shopping!
The first place I always check is the official store. They regularly have clearance cars, new releases, "Last Chance to Buy" models, exclusive editions and bundle offers.
If you don't need a particular car immediately, it's worth checking the sale section every few weeks as prices change regularly.

If you've been in the hobby for any length of time, you'll almost certainly know Pendle. They're one of the UK's biggest specialist slot car retailers and stock thousands of Scalextric products, spare parts and accessories. They're also an official Scalextric service centre.

Amazon is always worth checking. Prices move daily, especially on newer releases, and occasionally you'll find a car that's £10–15 cheaper than specialist retailers. If you've got Prime delivery, it can also be the quickest way to get racing.

Don't overlook Marketplace. I've seen complete Digital layouts sell for less than the cost of a new starter set. If you're prepared to clean a bit of track and replace a couple of braids, you can save hundreds of pounds.

This is one of the coolest novelty releases Scalextric has produced. The Flying DeLorean looks fantastic on display and drives surprisingly well considering the mould. Around £49.95 is a solid price for a licensed collector's model.

Sports prototype cars are becoming increasingly popular and this Cadillac looks incredible on track. If you enjoy Le Mans or IMSA racing, this is definitely worth adding to your collection. Currently available from around £35.
