Pit Stop Glamping is exactly what it sounds like — a premium glamping experience built around the atmosphere of the British Grand Prix weekend. Situated right on the edge of the Silverstone circuit, guests arrive to beautifully appointed tents, a vibrant social atmosphere, and the unmistakable sound of F1 cars thundering through Copse and Maggotts. It's motorsport hospitality reimagined.

When the team at Pit Stop Glamping approached us about adding a Scalextric hire experience to the village, it was one of those briefs that writes itself. An F1 weekend. A glamping village full of passionate motorsport fans. A bespoke Scalextric track. The fit was perfect.

The Setup: A Bespoke F1 Scalextric Circuit

We designed and built a fully themed F1 Scalextric circuit for the event — complete with branded pit lane scenery, detailed trackside details, and a custom fleet of F1-liveried cars chosen specifically to complement the Silverstone weekend. Every element was considered to place guests in the world of Formula 1 the moment they stepped up to the track.

Our digital Scalextric system was running throughout, with live lap timing and a real-time leaderboard tracking every driver across both race days. The competitive element drew guests in immediately — once you've seen your name on the leaderboard, you don't walk away without trying to beat it.

Two Days of Racing — And a Worthy Champion

We raced across the full two days of the event, with guests queuing up to take on the circuit from morning through to evening. The social energy was electric — strangers became rivals, rivalries became friendships, and the track became the natural gathering point for the entire village.

By the end of the weekend, one driver had emerged head and shoulders above the rest: Mason, all the way from North Carolina, USA. Visiting the UK specifically for the British Grand Prix, Mason proved that slot car racing transcends borders — posting consistently quick laps throughout both days to claim the crown as our event champion. A worthy winner, and a story we won't forget in a hurry.
